Shock and Vibration
IDI Connectors provide outstanding resistance to shock and vibration, surpassing the limits of conventional connector technologies. In an effort to provide designers with the documented evidence that probe technology is meeting the challenge under these harsh conditions. IDI Probes that were evaluated by Contech Research, an independent test and research laboratory, under shock and vibration from 3.14G to 9.26G exhibited:
- No evidence of physical damage.
- No contact interruption greater than 1.0 microsecond.
- Resistance remained low with an average change of 4.9 mΩ.
The requirements for the shock test were that there be no evidence of physical damage to the test samples, no interruption greater than 1.0 microsecond and initial and post test change in low level contact resistance shall be measured and recorded.
The requirements for the vibration test were that there be no evidence of damage to the test samples, no contact interruption of greater than 1.0 microsecond and the change in low level contact resistance shall be measured and recorded.
