A lot of product designers ask us this question. And we’re pleased to be in the ideal position to provide the answer when we show them how IDI probe technology gives them everything they’re looking for in an interconnect solution: optimized contact performance in high reliability, multiple cycle interconnect applications.

We call these specialized probes, IDI Battery and Connector Contacts. We display several on the following pages, ready for off-the-shelf delivery. We also have an IDI Battery Contact catalog showing additional designs typically built to order, suitable for many connector applications. Or, we can design the precise customized contact to meet your unique requirements.

To help you manage costs, we can mix technologies, using probe technology only in the high reliability area and using conventional technology in the non-critical areas. And we can use off-the-shelf product whenever possible to ensure replacement probes are available and economical.

When reliability can’t be compromised. IDI Battery and Connector Contacts allow for a higher and consistent spring force that will remain the same from the first cycle to the 500,000th cycle. They are extremely rugged and compact. And they often have a flange for PCB mounting via reflow solder process or to insure proper location for surface mount application. IDI Battery and Connector Contacts have advanced innovations in interconnect technology in industries where reliable, compliant interconnection standards are extremely high, including:
